Branding session with Jacinta Bayard, an Australian writer sharing about her life in France
I met Jacinta at one of the Riviera Entrepreneurs events earlier this year, and we immediately made plans for a session to prepare for her new blog where she would start sharing her story of moving her family from Sydney, Australia to the South of France and living in an 18th century bastide where a renowned French writer Henry Troyat.
Jacinta told me more about her and what her vision for the session was. Her story really spoke to me as I made life changing moves across continents three times myself. And we are currently working together for the foreseeable future as a part of my Subscription Service.

Family Business in Provence
Last year I was fortunate to photograph the wedding of Fabien and Estelle, and our bond has grown since as we started to work together to create some visual storytelling for their brand Eucaly. This business is three generations old and is located on the hills overlooking the iconic bay of Cannes on the French Riviera.

Epic proposal in the South of France, The Maybourne Riviera
When Tomi reached out to me to help capture his proposal and shared his intricate plan with me, I simply had to make it work. Tomi was flying his bride-to-be from London to ask her to marry him at sunset in the most beautiful location on the French Riviera, on the terrace of the Maybourne Riviera hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin with the 180 degree views from Italy to Monaco.

Couple Photoshoot in Nice
A job of a photographer is an interesting one. Unless you work in a studio, you usually work on a location with people you’ve never met. But this is the exciting part for extraverts like me. You meet new people, learn their stories, document their memories.
Recently, I got to work with a wonderful couple, Maxime and Dayana to capture their love. Maxime is from the south of France and Dayana is from the Philippines, they met in Kuwait where Dayana lives right now, and they are currently working on moving her to France so they can start a family. Their story resonated with me, as my husband and I went through the same journey many years ago, so it was an honour to capture it for them.

Creative collaboration with 06 MEDIA
What a joy it is to work with other creatives who are on the same wavelength as you. The 06 MEDIA team and I got to work on an interview style commercial with a celebrated communications coach based in Monaco, Alicia Sedgwick back in December and I’m happy to share our photo selection for the videographer team and Alicia here.

Winter Brittany in photos
Winter in Brittany, France, may not be the conventional choice for travelers seeking a warm escape, but it unveils a unique and captivating side of this picturesque region. Embrace the season's charm as you embark on a journey to capture the magic of Brittany through your lens.

Christmas Party on the French Riviera
This pre-Christmas season I was hired to photograph a Christmas party for local entrepreneurs on Côte d’Azur. We, non-corporate self-employed people deserve an office party too! I’ve been a part of Riviera Entrepreneurs for almost two years now and have nothing but admiration for this group of people, so it was a true honour to document this festive celebration for and with them.

Photo walk through Nice
Back in October I was hired to make a trip to Nice memorable for a birthday lady from Lithuania. I live not too far from Nice and have seen so many Instagrammable spots in the Old Town and around. This would allow us to stay in the same area and have a lot of variety in our portraits.
We covered the beach, Promenade des Anglais, the Old town and Colline du Chateau in just an hour and a half. Here are the results!

Pink umbrellas of Grasse
Tucked away from the main visitor spots of the French Riviera but still an important place on Côte d’Azur, Grasse offers that old authentic feel of the South of France burnt by the sun.
There you can also find something special about the old town centre. Its perfume shops and antique stores spend their days in the shade of hundreds of pink umbrellas. I thought it would be one of those places you need to see once and be done but I find myself going back to the old Grasse at least once a year and always find something different to capture.

Wedding in Provence
This September I was hired to cover a cocktail hour for a beautiful wedding in Provence. The ceremony took place in Eze on the French Riviera, then cocktail hour was held in a gorgeous villa in the department of Var where yours truly frolicked with her camera to capture this special event.
It was a very hot and sunny afternoon, as any photographer would tell you, those were not the best conditions. But i’m not afraid of sunny skies. If those are the cards I’m dealt, I make the most of them. Strong shadows and overblown highlights can be used to create dramatic images. Plus, turns out black and white edits look incredible with those contrasted light conditions.

How I used the new Photoshop Beta to save a wedding photo
Back in May I was hired to document a wedding ceremony in Nice. The event was small and intimate, and clearly meant a lot to the couple. It was also fairly short and I was new to the location, so I didn’t have time to pre-research it.
At one of the most crucial moments of the ceremony, when the couple came out of the Nice townhall, I was so focused on capturing the couple that I didn’t notice a huge traffic poll right in front of the groom. When I got home, I was so pleased with how every photo looked, and I went a little bit grey when I saw THE photo with the poll.

Tuscany Dream
Two weeks frolicking around in Tuscany, what could be better?
Nothing. Tuscany is perfection. It reminds of Provence with its rolling hills and beautiful light, delicious food and friendly locals.
Here are some of my photos from my July in Tuscany.

Les Nocturnes d’Art de Biot 2023
I was commissioned to cover an annual summer event in Biot this year called Les Nocturnes d’Art. I’ve been going to them ever since we moved to the South, and it is an honour to document this year’s edition.
Les Nocturnes will take place every Thursday until August 17th so come along and enjoy the open air art show.

Yoga Studio Photoshoot in Biot
Capturing the Essence of Yoga: A Radiant Photoshoot in Biot's Serene Yoga Studio.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the peaceful ambiance of Biot's new yoga studio and capture the beauty and grace of yoga through the lens of my camera. With the magical interplay of light and movement, I embarked on a captivating journey of capturing the work of Héloïsa, Biot’s yoga instructor.

Best Spots for a Photoshoot in Antibes
I’ve lived in the Antibes area in the past two years and as much as I enjoy the whole of the French Riviera, Antibes is my go-to when going on photo adventures.
Here are my favourite spots for photoshoots in Antibes.

French Riviera Sunset beach Portraits
As a photographer on the French Riviera I have access to world’s most beautiful beaches at my fingertips.
But sometimes (most of the times) it’s not the beach that I am capturing, it’s the subject: a family, a couple, a business. For this shoot I had an idea of getting to capture the eyes, the hair and the golden hour light.

Photographer in Provence
I knew that May was too early to go looking for lavender fields in Provence. Regardless, I planned a girl trip just to breath the provençal air one weekend in May when the stars aligned for my friend and I to go away for a couple of days.
We were lucky to catch the poppy season still in full force. Fields and fields of poppies is truly a sight to behold.
The conclusion after the weekend in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been is I’ll have to go back there in every season.

Civil ceremony in Nice
I was honoured to document a wedding ceremony in the beautiful Hotel de Ville in Nice. I love capturing emotions but was very nervous about the pressure of a wedding. I trust my gear but you never know if and when it might give up on you, and wedding is such a once in a lifetime event that you won’t be able to reply if the light was not right or if the SD card erased everything just because.
But I’m happy to report that everything went perfectly and I now have a happy couple looking at the memories I helped creating.

Yoga by the pool
Outdoor photography is my favourite. Even in harsh light, I am excited to work with the conditions I get and work through the most difficult ones.
As a branding photographer, I need to adjust to my client’s timing and most businesses work 9-5 when the light isn’t the best. I am also a mother and have to work around my kids’ schedules. So sunrise/sunset sessions are not always possible.
